DESCRIPTION: Renouard, mans quarter repeating pocket watch, 7 jewels, key wind and set, gilt Lepine caliber movement with ruby cylinder escapement, the repeating activated by pull and twist plunger in the pendant, in an 18 karat, yellow gold, hinged back and bezel, engine turned, open face case with engine turned gold cuvette and enamel filled engraving, Roman numeral, white enamel dial, gold Breguet style hands, 50mm, 71.9g TW, c1830.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor dents inside back from winding and setting arbors; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Engine turning worn smooth; Enamel infill with minor loss; Cuvette with minor shallow dents; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Small hairline/ flake at edge, 9:30; Numerous minor scratches. HANDS: Minor bends and scratches, tip of minute short. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Ratchet wheel, click spring, gongs, hammers and some screws with specks of oxide; Many screws abraded, blue removed; Jewel replaced, escape wheel upper. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), out of beat, hairspring needs truing. COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
